About
Meet Your Travel Guide:
Hi, I’m Sowmya — a curious soul from India who’s equally obsessed with exploring new places, hacking life with tech, and growing through personal reflections.
My journey began with weekend escapes to nearby hills and quiet towns, slowly expanding into deeper, longer travels across India. As a remote professional, I now have the freedom to work from anywhere and along the way, I’ve learned to travel light, live intentionally, and find joy in the small, slow moments.
Technology helps me stay organized, creative, and connected no matter where I am, and I love sharing tools that make this lifestyle easier.
Through this blog, I hope to inspire others to build a life that blends adventure, simplicity, and purpose.

From Open Office to Open Road
After college, I was excited to start my career. I looked forward to joining the corporate world and doing meaningful work. Like most people starting out, I wasn’t very confident, but I slowly found my footing.
Over time, I started enjoying my job. I worked with great people who pushed me to grow, and for a while, I felt like everything was on track.
Then COVID hit, and everything changed.
Overnight, I went from a lively office to working alone at home. While the work stayed the same, the energy was missing. The silence, the repetition — it started to wear me down.
That’s when I began hearing about people working while traveling. At first, it felt like a far-off idea. But eventually, I got curious enough to try it.
I left my hometown, moved to a new city, and gave myself a fresh start.
During this time, I met someone who really lived in the moment. With him, even small trips felt like little adventures. We learned that travel isn’t just about places — it’s about how you experience them.
After a couple of years exploring together, I felt the urge to try solo travel. I wanted to see how it felt to explore the world on my own.
Those solo trips changed everything. They helped me slow down, connect more deeply with myself, and gain clarity I didn’t even know I needed.
Remote work gave me freedom. Travel gave me perspective.
And now I’m here, writing and sharing stories — from travel to tech to personal growth. Thanks for stopping by and being part of it. 😊
Travel is not just about seeing new places, but about becoming a part of them. As you step into a different world, your spirit shifts and adapts, blending with the culture, the people, and the energy around you. With every new destination, you find a version of yourself you never knew, and the warmth of strangers soon feels like the comfort of home.

Few quirks about me
I have this habit of saying “bye” out loud to every place I leave, which makes me feel a little dramatic but always brings a smile to my face.
I love sitting behind my husband while he drives. It’s my favourite spot to relax, enjoy the scenery, and share a laugh or two without ever getting bored.
Being in nature helps me clear my mind. The open spaces and quiet surroundings make my problems feel smaller and give me a fresh sense of clarity.
